Victoria Beckham has a vast collection of handbags. For while most women have only a few bags at their disposal the former Posh Spice has a collection of hundreds, and is rarely seen using the same one twice.
.

Her Hermes Birkin bag collection is thought to be worth £1.5 million.(over $ 2.2 millions). In recent years the bag has been featured prominently on popular television shows such as Sex and the City, Gilmore Girls, and Will & Grace. In the final season of The Sopranos, Dr. Melfi carried a Birkin bag into her own therapy session.
.
According to The Big Money, Birkin’s are seen as an “investment” in these rugged economic times, when in fact they are more like available fashion pieces to those with large incomes. They listed Victoria Beckham as an example of such an owner, as according to reports, she owns 100 bags of the classic design, which retail at an amazing $6,000 and $7,000 a pop. Victoria’s favorites are made of exotic skins like ostrich, crocodile. The highlight of her collection is an 80,000 diamond-studded silver special edition Himalayan Birkin, one of only three in the world. It was a Christmas present from her footballer husband David.

Since 1850th Vuitton set the standards for extravagance, luxury and craftsmanship. LV is a subsidiary of LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey), the first global group to specialize in prestigious luxury products. LVMH – the world leader in luxury which possesses a unique portfolio of some 50 prestigious brands. The Group is active in five different sectors: Wines & Spirits, Fashion & Leather Goods, Perfumes & Cosmetics, Watches & Jewelry, Selective retailing. Most recently, the Group introduced Vuitton’s ready-to-wear line. LV is more than just a quality of fashion products – it’s a lifestyle in vogue.
Louis Vuitton began manufacturing trunks in Paris in 1854, and the company he started became one of the world’s most famous makers of luxury goods, known especially for its designer luggage pattern: a beige-on-chestnut monogram, “LV.” Vuitton’s high-quality traveling trunks were such a hit in 1850th that every then “celebrity” (including Ismail Pasha, Khedive of Egypt, Grand Duke Nicholas – future Tzar of the Russian Empire and King Alphonse XII of Spain) ordered a set of trunks. The Vuitton line gained international recognition winning a bronze medal at the 1867 World’s Fair and a gold medal at the 1889 World’s Fair, both held in Paris. Lately Vuitton began a series of innovations: he built flat stacked trunks covered with canvas. This new method protected the luggage and its precious contents and soon met with considerable success – but attractive canvas was copied almost immediately. In 1873, LV launched a counter-attack, introducing a canvas bearing red stripes on a beige background, and a few years later, with a beige monochrome. Success was overwhelming, but with the same result: more and more counterfeit copies.

After Louis death in 1892, his son, Georges, took the company to new heights, developing what is recognized as the first “designer label” on a product – “LV” monogram. LV luggage thus became the first manufactured products to bear the brand name on the outside. Georges also developed the celebrated five-tumbler lock. Unpickable, each lock has its own number that allows the owner to open his entire luggage with a single key. Ever since its invention, this lock has been an element of all suitcases and trunks produced by LV.
In 1998 the superstar New York designer Marc Jacobs joined the firm as Artistic Director. He launches a pret-a-porter Vuitton line, a far cry from the historic luggage and bags. His designer clothes are so popular that Louis Vuitton now produces an entire collection of his shoes and launches in 2004 a jewellery collection as well as highly demanded watches collection. Now barely 40, Jacobs was behind the latest hot handbag wowing the wannabes, the manga “eye” bags designed by Takashi Murakami, a cult Japanese artist whose clean colours and flower shapes have livened up the brown and gold LV leather. Saying it wanted a “sophisticated, influential and sexy woman,” LVMH signed Jennifer Lopez in 2003 for its fall-winter advertising campaign. Marc Jacobs wanted a “contemporary icon” to represent the company and sought “a sophisticated, influential and sexy woman.”
Louis Vuitton Handbags
Louis Vuitton Handbags spell one word: classy. Louis Vuitton Bags combines fresh and trendy to make the perfect accessory for any outfit working for any season and any occasion.
Besides handbags, luggage and apparel, LV has a variety of luxury office products like alligator covering The Cargo Fountain Pens, and gold-plated Doc Pens. In Sept 1997, Louis Vuitton produced a new product line named Taiga for men. It includes all office accessories, purse, and luggage. The luggage series include backpack, small luggage for a short trip, suitcases.

With the huge influence of recession many designers have focused their attention on accessories rather than garments. Jewelry, shoes, handbags of this season are very unusual and bright.
.

.
Besides, they are present everywhere, in every single collection, worn with pride and an elegant air by all the top models on the catwalk.
The handbag is no longer considered by designers as a mere accessory that can be included or may be ignored. It has become a fundamental element of a woman’s look. Its mission is not limited to practicality; it is chic and complements a woman’s personality and style.
Trends of this season (Spring 2009/Summer 2009) very much, from highly practical huge totes to tiny eccentric clutches for evening wear. Every woman of fashion will be able to find something that suits her style and taste.
.

.
Wide, very comfortable bags in all colors imaginable – beige, white, black, metallic, gold, violet, orange, green, blue, etc. – will be extremely popular this season.
.

.
They are intended mostly for everyday wear: for shopping, work, college classes. Bags in this style are presented in collections by Versace, Bottega Veneta, Ralph Lauren, Sui, Diane von Furstenberg, Rossi, Valentino and others..

.
So comfortable and roomy!
.

.
Medium-sized handbags have found their place in lines from Dolce&Gabbana, La Perla, Missoni, Ferragamo, Armani, Michael Kors, Sonya Rykiel, Miu-Miu, etc.
.
.
These bags combine both comfort and elegance, grace and practicality. Some are rather simple, others are literally works of art.
.

.
Designers made different styles and designs.
.

.
There are a lot of tiny and medium sized clutches of ordinary design or very exclusive and sophisticated style. Clutches are widely presented in almost every collection.
.

.
Materials used vary from reptile leather of different colors to silk fabrics embellished with sequins. Great choice and pure femininy..

.
Look for clutches in Valentino, Pucci, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Louis Vuitton’s collections.
Patchwork has entered the world of fashion last season..

.
There were just a few bags and shoes made in this style but they immediately became very popular. In the new season we see patchwork as a trend already. Now there are more of those designers who decided to introduce this new tendency into their collections: Dolce & Gabbana, Just Cavalli, Frisoni, Chloe, Balinciaga and others.
The classic strap handbag, worn on the shoulder is fashionable and practical as this allows you to have both your hands absolutely free.
.

.
The hues used are quite diverse: strong colors like violet, red and black or softer shades like white or beige. Pucci, Dolce&Gabbana, Burberry, Ralph Lauren have created bags of this kind for us.
.

.
As a subtrend of a strap bag I can call a bag with a chain instead of a usual strap. There are plenty of bags with chains. They look chic, feminine, unusual and classy.
.

.
I’m sure this trend will become one of the most favorite by fashionistas all over the world. Designers to work with this style are: Dolce&Gabbana, Pucci, Balenciaga, Ferragamo, Givenchi, etc.
Folk motif. This is the hottest trend Spring/Summer 2009 in clothes and I’m really happy that it’s spread to bags too.
.

.
Nice interesting models with unusual patterns and prints look wonderful. Sui, Choo and Fendi have enriched the whole bag variety with the traditions-based items.
Reptile leathers are so widely used in collections that I decided it should be a separate trend of the season. Different colors, various styles – to the most particular taste!
.

.
And the last but not the least, extraordinary bags! The more unusual your bag is the better. Extraordinary means everything that is very unlike other things, a standout, something that strikes your mind, for example the bags you see at the pictures below.

Leggings! The old fashion trend came back!
.
Fashion from the ’80s is very popular now and of cause the hipster celebrities continue to sing their praises.
And it’s very comfortable outfit! You can wear leggings under a mini or with a tunic, and paired with chic boots and layered necklaces, leggings need only a bag to complete your hip look. Celebrities have there own style of leggings.
These ladies do follow the leather (or leather like) skinny pants or leggins celebrity trend!
Take a look!

Little black dress is a must-have in any woman’s wardrobe.
But do you know how to wear it right? And what can be considered as “right”?
First of all let’s begin from the understanding of what a little black dress is like. The first version of the little black dress was invented by Coco Chanel in 1926. It was perfectly elegant but simple. The vividness of the image was achieved by accessories rather than the dress itself.
So, how did the little black dress by Chanel look like?
Rules for Chanel little black dress:
- Dress should cover the knees
- No décor is acceptable: no pleats, frills or embroidery
- Clear silhouette
- No sleeves; if there are ones, they should be narrow and without any décor
- Sheer black stockings
- Pumps (no open-toed shoes are appropriate)
- No massive jewelry
- A little clutch

Milan Fashion Week revealed the Italian view on spring 2009 fashion: glamorous and sophisticated, sometimes opulent but very feminine. Here are some of the spring 2009 trends:
1. Bejeweled: not only evening gowns but also trenches and short coats are adorned with stones, big paillets, studs or crystals.

Alberta Ferretti, Burberry Prorsum, Derercuny, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro and Blumarine
.
2. Bouffant/bold shoulders and sleeves: middle-ages fashion references take a sci-fi spin with glossy leather, shiny, stiff fabrics in purest white or hottest pink.
Dolce & Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferré and Iceberg
.
3. Cocoon: one of the “it” silhouettes for spring 2009, loose, soft, body-hugging cocoon-shaped dresses and skirts call for a relaxed attitude.

Bottega Veneta, Marni, Burberry Prorsum, Pringle of Scotland, Dolce & Gabbana
.
4. Folds make for a strong fashion statement be it in a architectonic style at Ferré, a couture florescence at Scognamiglio or soft, ruffled folds like those at Pollini.

Francesco Scognamiglio, Gianfranco Ferré, Versace, Pollini and Maurizio Pecoraro
.
5. Fringe: flapper/cabaret-like soft fringes will adorn pretty cocktail dresses next spring. There’s also a futuristic spin at Aquilano e Rimondi and Jil Sander where Raf Simons went crazy with his clothes made from what looked like human hair.

Alberta Ferretti, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Aquilano e Rimondi, Jil Sander, La Perla and Roberto Cavalli
.
6. Gingham and its derivates prints were a refreshing look for spring 2009, due to the combination traditional masculine patterns – flimsy short dresses.

Burberry Prorsum, Just Cavalli, Marni and MaxMara
.
7. Gold: the typical luxury mark, gold was seen a lot on the runways at Milan. If you’re afraid of looking tacky, opt for a simple cut top or for a golden mini dress.

D&G, Dsquared, Etro, La Perla and Versace
.
8. Intricate: nothing it’s simple anymore! A textured surface says ‘hip’ faster than anything else. Look for loose lace-like knits and laser-cut patterns.

Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Pringle of Scotland, Salvatore Ferragamo, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli
.
9. Jumpsuit: it emerged few seasons ago and no one thought it will kick off as a trend. Nowadays, thanks to street-style blogs, you can see fashionistas of all ages sporting jumpsuits in real life. So you should get one before it goes mainstream. With the spring 2009 tailored, sexy sophisticated jumpsuits the choice should be easy.

Etro, Francesco Scognamiglio, Giorgio Armani, Iceberg, Moschino, MaxMara
.
10. One-shoulder: Just like jumpsuits, one-shoulder dresses are not a new thing in fashion but I’m glad they stuck in the top trends for spring 2009. Also I absolutely love these dresses here.

Iceberg, Moschino C&C, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo and Aquilano e Rimondi
.
What’s new though is the one-sleeve look which I don’t necessarily dig. Despite looking pretty awkward, many designers embraced this look be it jumpsuits, short dresses or evening gowns.

Dolce&Gabbana, Fendi, Francesco Sconamiglio and Moschino
.
11. Rose garden: if it’s not jewels, fringes or couture folds than fabric roses is the way to make your clothes stand out from the crowd. A dress adorn with dozens of roses appliqué definitely says spring.

Dolce&Gabbana, Fendi, Francesco Sconamiglio and Moschino

Lots of oversized necklaces, bright shiny bracelets and earrings are on the top of the list. Ethno style is especially hot (Alberta Feretti, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Celine, Louis Vuitton, John Galliano, Ralph Lauren, etc.)
- Make-up:
There are two main looks. Either you make an accent on lips or on your eyes. Choose suiting make-up base for natural effect. Add cherry, plum or strawberry lips and red nails.
