How to “pickup” a man?
May 30, 2009 by Helen
Women, you may think the responsibility for the “pickup” is on the man. Surprisingly, though, research shows that women initiate two-thirds of all pickups.
..
In the animal kingdom, wannabe-lovers attract each other by hooting, crowing, or stomping the ground. A female chimpanzee will spot her mate, stroll up to the male, and tip her buttocks toward his nose to get his attention. Among humans too, the female will do many things to attract the male. But they are much more subtle in humans…
.
A researcher named Monica Moore heard that women made two-thirds of the approaches and wanted to find out exactly how they did so. So, she set up a study where she observed more than two hundred women at a party and recorded what non-verbal signals women gave to attract males.
.
Below is a list of all the different methods and how many times that particular method was successful in attracting the male. When we say “successful”, we mean that the particular move was successful in getting the male to come over and talk to the woman. So, if you want to get some one to notice you, you could do one of these….
.
.
- Smile at him broadly
- Throw him a short, darting glance
- Dance alone to the music
- Look straight at him and flip your hair
- Keep a fixed gaze on him
- Look at him, toss your head, then look back
- “Accidentally” brush up against him
- Nod your head at him
- Point to a chair and invite him to sit
- Tilt your head and touch your exposed neck
- Lick your lips during eye contact
- Ask for his help with something
- Tap something to get his attention
- Shy? Do you feel he’ll think you are too forward if you smile broadly at him in the crowd or “accidentally” brush up against him? He won’t, because, happily, the male ego takes over! Ten minutes later, he won’t even realize that he was not the one who made the initial contact. Moore, the researcher, said that men think they are making the first move when they are actually responding to women’s nonverbal signals. So, don’t be shy, cause he will not notice!
- Handle everything delicately!
- Especially if you are a woman, once you get him to approach you and talk to you, you must make sure that you do not give him any body language signals that scare him away..
When he comes to talk to you, even if you look in some other direction and pretend to be bored, you may scare him. He might read this as, “she is not interested” and he might leave so that you do not reject him. So handle all this delicately. Once he is talking to you, use all those eye-contact tricks and give him your attention.

You will always try to keep the man you have near you and have the most beautiful relationship ever. Here are some tips which will help you accomplish your dream:
Even if time, cities or fashion change, men will always love to conquer women. It is a born instinct which men don’t want to lose. Let yourself be seduced, spoiled, impressed by your lover. On the other side, you should also decline his invitations, now and then because it will make him want you more.- You should maintain the old friendships and daily activities. Maybe one of the things men hate the most is a woman who stands on the coach waiting for her boyfriend to appear. When he will see that you are becoming dependent of him he will lose any interest in you.
- If he likes football, cars or fishing you should respect his wishes. Don’t try to keep him away from his passions because sooner or later he will run from the relationship you have. You wouldn’t like if he would do the same things to you, would you? A solution is to go with him to a football match if he proposes this to you.
- Friendship is the one of the most precious things in a relationship. In this case, you should avoid any discussions in contradictory and listen to his problems even if he doesn’t do this usually.
- Passion is another important thing in any relationship. You should look always well, even if you are at home. Imagine seducing situations which will incite him, such as doing striptease or a romantic dinner including candles and a good wine. Of course you also need these kinds of surprises in order to be stimulated, isn’t it?
- Don’t refuse him in bed even if you are not in the proper mood or you don’t feel well. You shouldn’t lie to him because there is nothing more shameful than a revealed lie. He’d better leave you because of the truth instead of leaving because he discovered you lie.
- A very frequent mistake in most of the relationships is to suffocate him with too much love. He needs some space to go out with his friends or just to be alone. When he goes out with his friends you can invite a friend to your place and have fun discussing about fashion, soap operas or cooking recipes.
- You shouldn’t treat your lover as your best friend or confident. If you want to talk about your bad moods, about clothes or diets you should call one of your friends. Don’t abandon your friends because they are the only one who will discuss about everything your boyfriend doesn’t like to.
- Be careful! Don’t underestimate him in public. What a man hates the most is to be treated as a useless person or as an easy mark. If he says things you don’t agree, tell him what you thing when you are at home, by yourselves. If not, he will end up hating you.

Why do people fake?
A person, who lies, pretends to be something he is not, does not have an opinion or ideas of his own or pretends to like things he or she does not.
The question is – what for?
We often fake.
We often pretend.
We often play different roles.
Especially when we meet somebody with whom we fall in love or just feel drawn to somebody,
especially when we want to seem more significant than we really are.
We want to seem better than we really are.
We want to seem perfect.
We are afraid to seem unattractive.
The question is – what is more important to be or to seem?
We hide our drawbacks and feel embarrassed when a person we like notices the “dark side of the moon”.
We may fake or play different roles as we really perform various positions in the society but the most important thing is not to betray one’s personality, to remain who we really are and stop pretending.
And if we fake, does the possibility of being with a wrong person increase?
If we fake, our life becomes full of false people and false ideals.
What is true worth – bijouterie or diamonds?
We may fake our appearance but
what is the reason to fake feelings and emotions?
But the choice is only yours to fake or fake not…

I think you’ve heard many times that men say the best present for them is a woman they love. This is true and lots of us use this idea to make the occasion the most amazing and memorable. It is easy and doesn’t cost you much but you need to choose some nice lingerie to gladden your beloved and drive him absolutely mad with your terrific look.
.

When selecting lingerie you should think twice and the first thing to consider is the feelings you wish to provoke. Do you want him to be tender? Passionate? Romantic? Admirable? When you know exactly what you need, set off for a lingerie store.
.
Red & burgundy
.
Red lingerie is thought to be the hottest and sexiest. Men lose their heads as soon as their beloved don something in these hues.

It’s nice-looking, tempting and dramatic. If you want the night to be filled with passion and crazy love-making this color is the perfect choice for your lingerie. Try any designs and styles, this color makes all of them look fantastic!

Lviv is one of the fascinating cities of the old Europe.
It is mixture and variety of different styles of all epochs starting from the 13th century that are reflected in the grey-stoned buildings.
Gothic and baroque, Renaissance and Romanesque, modern eclecticism and constructivism are combined in the unique architectural ensemble.
“Zamkova Hora” or the City Council “Ratusha” will show you unforgettable panoramas of the city.
Historic center of Lviv is included into the World Heritage of UNESCO. Theatres, Churches and Cathedrals, castles, libraries, parks and even graveyards should be kept for the future generations. Its history goes back to the 5th century, moreover in different ages Lviv was a part of Halyck-Volyn Principality, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Austria-Hungary which influenced greatly its culture and architecture.
Integral part of the city’s culture are numerous coffee houses, each has its unique design, atmosphere, heart and soul. They vividly reflect the city’s history and spirit:
You should go through the gate way to find the coffee house “Pid Synioyu Flyazhkoyu” which is not so easy from the first time. It is located in the house, built in 1501 by Galich Armenian Vartanovich. Mediaeval atmosphere, brick walls, dim light of candles, antique furniture, it is even said, that the ghosts inhabit this building.
In the coffee house “Gasova Lyampa” you may observe more than 200 kinds of gas lamps of various epochs. Friendly salesman will show you souvenirs and tell some interesting stories. Gunpowder firing on bar, klaxons in the water closet and extremely home-made alcoholic drinks based on honey, caraway, horse-radish are specific features of this bar.
In “Kryivka” you will be met by a very serious man dressed in military uniform with a gun whose greeting is “Slava Ukraini”, expecting a password from you. When the password is correct you will be offered 50 grams of sweet and strong alcoholic drink – “Medovuha”. National Ukrainian coloring is the specific feature of this place.
In the café “Staryi Tramvai” you should buy a ticket first and then you may drink coffee or something else.
The name of “Von Mazoh” café explains itself. Surrealistic monument of conceptual writer, piquant souvenirs, citations of Leopold von Zaher Mazoh on the walls, waitresses dressed in leather totally reflect the style of the café. At the end of your visit the bill will be put into a shoe.

Lviv is the place to return over and over again because you are totally captured by the spirit of ancient history and charming beauty of the old center, extraordinary atmosphere of narrow streets and stone block pavements, indescribable panoramas and magnificent view sights.

Many women are plagued by fingernails that split and crack. What’s causing this? Like body shape, skin tone, and hair texture, our nails’ ability to grow is largely hereditary — so if your mom had weak nails, you’re likely to have them, too. That said, there are things you can do to avoid much of the splitting:
,
Protect your nails from water. Keep your hands out of water, since it can actually dry out nails, causing them to split. Be sure to wear gloves when doing dishes or cleaning.
Apply hand cream religiously. Look for a rich formula, which will seal moisture into nails, making them stronger and more flexible. And be sure to slather on cream every time you wash your hands.
.
Limit use of nail polish remover. It contains alcohol and other chemicals which make nails brittle. Use remover no more than once a week.
Buff instead of polish. Nail polish can have a drying effect on weak nails. To get a shiny, polished effect, try a buffer. The friction it creates actually stimulates nail growth.
/
Keep nail length manageable. Go for no more than a quarter-inch beyond the tip of your finger, and keep nails filed into resilient soft ovals.
If you try the above with no success, consult a dermatologist.

May 22, 2009 by Katerina
There is an old saying “If you want something done, ask a busy person. ” There is a lot of truth in this. Sometimes, we struggle to do anything productive – even if we have time on our hands. But, at other times we can do alot because we prepare, are focused and do it with enthusiasm.
There are several small things that can make a big difference to how successful we become. These are some tips to help get things done.
,
Be Clear What you Want to do.
It might seem a rather obvious point, but if we are not clear what we want to do – how can we do it effectively? I have a student who always talks of giving up smoking. Half of him wants to stop, but the other half enjoys it. If you want to do something difficult like give up smoking you have to be 100% committed. If you do something but are holding onto reservations, you will not be fully committed and so it will be much harder, if not impossible. Too often we drift along with vague ideas we should be doing something; we hold a certain guilt for not doing it, but, we fail to clearly resolve to take action – so it gets left on the back burner.
/
Clear Out the Junk.
One of the biggest obstacles to being productive is getting distracted by small silly things. Having a tidy / clear workspace makes a big difference to being able to work with great focus. Entering a clear, simple work environment gives a definite subconscious psychological boost. Just try tidying your workspace, ruthless clearing out the junk and pieces of paper – you will definitely notice the difference. We have a rather romantic view of the eccentric genius working in paper strewn mess coming up with complex equations. But, for most of us, working in this kind of environment makes it much more difficult to do anything. Investing 10 minutes to create a clear workspace is a good investment of time.
.
Do One Thing at A Time
It is not possible to do more than one thing at a time and be focused. Our attention gets split and we struggle to do either effectively. This doesn’t just mean physically doing only one thing at a time; it also means having our thoughts focused on one particular task. When writing an essay, we need to ignore other thoughts of what we will be doing tomorrow. There is no benefit in worrying over things that we have no control.
,
Be in the Right Environment
As we have mentioned in previous points, the real secret for getting things done is being 100% committed and focused. Another thing that can help is getting into the right environment. For example, if you need to work at home, create a suitable space for your work. If you carry your laptop into the lounge in front of the TV, you can get easily distracted. Even changing clothes can make a difference. Sometimes, I wander out into the garden in my slippers and start half-heartedly gardening. When you do something be in the right space, environment and with the right tools / equipment.
.
Prioritise
The art of getting things done doesn’t mean we have to be a permanent hive of activity, business and stress. The problem is that we are often ‘busy’ doing unimportant and inconsequential things. We need to make a list (either written or mental) of what needs doing and doing the most pressing things first, even if it is not necessarily the most pleasant.
Feel that whatever you do there is an opportunity cost. If we spend time flicking through tv channels it means we don’t have time for something more fulfilling and worthwhile.
.
Finish what you start.
The hardest thing with getting things done is often just getting started. It takes a mental effort to get started, so once we overcome this barrier try finishing it in one go. If we keep stopping and starting we will waste precious time and loose focus. Where possible try to benefit from economies of scale. e.g. rather than checking emails several times throughout the day, set aside one or two times to answer and deal with your inbox. This is more efficient than responding piecemeal to incoming messages. (and often when you are trying to do something else as well.)
/
Read the Instruction manual
It’s a bit of novelty in our ipod generation, but so many times I try to do something without any preparation, make it worse and then have to go back to read the instruction manual. Good preparation can save a lot of heartache and wasted effort. Jumping straight in without any clear plan isn’t usually the best way to get something done.
,
Be Enthusiastic for what you do.
If we can always maintain enthusiasm for what we do, our enthusiasm will carry us through all obstacles and problems. This is a real secret of getting things done.
