You will sure look great.

Rosy Skin
Cover your blemishes and your uneven skin tones with a concealer same shade with your skin. Then apply a berry shade liquid gel blush with your fingers on your cheeks. In fact, in order to have a healthy sex drive, numerous aspects of your personal and interpersonal well-being must all come together, and this is not always easy to accomplish. Ideally, couples whose sex life is fulfilling:

  1. Feel good about themselves physically and mentally
  2. Have a strong relationship
  3. Communicate with each other about their sexual needs and preferences

If you do not fall into this group and your libido could use a boost, resorting to prescription drugs like Viagra is far from your only (or safest) option. The following natural methods can help to restore your sex drive by addressing the underlying reasons why it’s not what it used to be, which is something that medications completely overlook.

1. Exercise. Aerobic and strength-training exercise will increase your stamina, boost your body image, and improve your mood — all of which are essential for a healthy sex drive.

2. Use stress management tools. Whether it’s meditation, yoga, listening to music or talking it out with a friend, make sure you have a tool to effectively relieve your stress.

3. Consider dietary supplements. Ginko biloba is said to improve blood flow to your brain and sexual organs. Choline and vitamin B5, meanwhile, help to enhance levels of acetlycholine (ACH), a neurotransmitter that sends sexual impulses from your brain to your sexual organs.

The amino acid L-arginine has also been shown to help improve sexual function in males and females because it boosts circulation, and Renaissance Natural Progesterone Cream may help enhance libido in women.

4. Use the right scents. Certain scents overwhelmingly appeal to men and women when it comes to the romance department (be sure to only use natural fragrances made of pure essential oils — not synthetic fragrances or air fresheners). The top romantic scents are:

5. Give or receive a massage. It’s a great way to get sexually aroused, particularly if you’re feeling stressed.

6. Add some spice to your sex life. Communicate with your partner about your fantasies, or try a different sexual position, sex toy or location.

7. Support your relationship. Because sex drive is often tied to emotional needs, rekindling the romance in your relationship will inevitably set the mood for love.

8. Eat right. Certain foods are known to enhance or dampen sex drive. For instance, while high-carb meals like pasta will likely put you to sleep, the following foods may bolster your libido:

How to Get Rid of Your Double-Chin

September 29, 2008 by Mimi

How to Get Rid of Your Double-Chin
(or Triple-Chin, etc.!) Naturally

Your double-chin may be inherited from your mother, or it could have been slowly accumulating due to the forces of gravity and time.
You may also be predisposed to a double-chin because of the shape of
your neck and jaw — and sometimes double-chins just happen, for no
good reason at all.

double-chin

As
you age, the skin around your chin and neck loses elasticity. This can
easily lead to the appearance of a double-chin, particularly if you’re
overweight.

One thing for certain is that most people who have a double-chin
want to know how to get rid of it. You may even have considered plastic
surgery, as liposuction to the chin can often remove the fat and
sagging skin that causes a double-chin in the first place. Of course,
plastic surgery is expensive and carries with it significant risks.

It’s also completely unnecessary because a double-chin can be eliminated naturally.

The Most Important Step to Getting Rid of a Double-Chin?

Lose fat.

This is, without a doubt, your key to slimming your neckline and
chin. The catch is that there’s no way to tell your body to lose the
excess fat under your chin first, say before the fat on your hips. You
simply must focus on total body weight loss, then wait for it to
naturally shed from your chin area.

Alive in 5: Raw Gourmet Meals in Five Minutes

Lose
weight while enjoying delicious creations like pina colada smoothies
and cream of zucchini soup — all with the easy recipes in Alive in 5: Raw Gourmet Meals in Five Minutes.

To lose fat use the basic rule of weight loss: burn more calories than you consume. It helps greatly if you:

  1. Cut out excess “empty” calories like those from soda, candy, cookies, sweetened drinks and chips first.
  2. Exercise regularly (include aerobic exercise like jogging, biking or swimming with strength training).
  3. Avoid
eating too many processed carbs (white sugar and white flour, etc.).
These extra carbohydrates are easily converted into fat.

For those of you who don’t have extra fat to lose, or who want some tips to firm up your chin NOW …

Four Ways to Make Your Double-Chin Disappear

These tips will give your chin a slimmer, more streamlined appearance with very little effort on your part:

  1. Stand up straight. Your posture has everything to do with how your body shape looks, and that includes your chin and neck area.
  2. Change your hairstyle.
Long hair draws attention to a double-chin, as do Pageboy cuts that end
just below your chin. To make your chin look slim, choose a hairstyle
that ends above your jaw line.
Short haircuts

Short haircuts and open necklines are most flattering for your chin and neck.

  1. Accessorize wisely. Tops that
have open necklines are best if you have a double-chin (turtlenecks
should be avoided). For women, long necklaces tend to be more
    flattering than chokers.
  2. Exercise your chin.
Working a muscle called the platysma can help to firm up your chin.
Your platysma is responsible for the downward motion of your jaw. To
exercise this muscle, bring your bottom lip up as far as possible over
your upper lip, hold for 10 seconds, then repeat. You can also lie down
on your side with your head on a pillow, then gently pull your head
back so you stretch your neck.

Finally, if you find that having a double-chin is causing you to
lose self-esteem remember that everyone is created differently, and
there’s no danger in having a double-chin.

“Double chins are just an unfortunate part of the aging process,”
says Robert Kotler, M.D., a cosmetic surgeon and clinical instructor in
surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles in a
MotherNature.com article. “In the overall scheme of things, there are
more important things to worry about.”

Whether you often have trouble falling asleep, or you want to make your bedtime routine easier, these tips will help you to fall asleep as soon as your head hits your pillow.

  1. Create a relaxing bedtime routine. Take a bath before bed, brush your teeth, get into your PJs and turn on some soothing music that will let your mind know it’s time for slumber.
  2. Go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning.
  3. Exercise, ideally everyday. This positive stress will tire out your body in a good way — just be sure not to exercise too close to bedtime (within three hours), as it could keep you up.
  4. Keep your bedroom cool, quiet, and dark — and use it only for sleep (not watching TV, surfing the Web, chatting on the phone or playing video games).
  5. Drink a cup of relaxing tea, like chamomile.
  6. Massage your feet, especially with warm oil, right before bed — it’s very relaxing.
  7. Stretch a bit before you lie down. You can literally stretch out some of the “kinks” and tension of the day.
  8. Once you are in bed, listen to a relaxation CD like the Sleep Easy CD to help you “shift gears” and relax into sleep.
  9. Stop working well before bedtime. This gives your mind a chance to settle down before sleep.
  10. Don’t drink caffeinated or alcoholic beverages near your bedtime.
  11. Reduce stress in your life.
  12. Make your room “sleepable.” A very dark, cool room is best for sleep. You should also consider upgrading your mattress so that you feel completely comfortable and relaxed.
  13. Grab a snack. Eating a heavy meal right before bed can keep you awake, but so can feeling hungry. A light snack, such as peanut butter on whole-grain crackers, can help you to get a good night’s sleep.
  14. Wear earplugs or an eye mask. If you can hear noisy traffic or see lights from outside, earplugs and an eye mask can give you the silence and the darkness that are ideal for sleep.
  15. Make love. Sexual activity helps to relax your body!

Get Glam

September 27, 2008 by Mimi

How to Look like Glamorous Celebrities

What do Jennifer Lopez, Beyonc Knowles, Jessica Simpson and Christina Aguillera have in common? They are all Hollywood celebrities whose faces have graced numerous magazine covers, whose presence have lit up the silver screen or the TV screen, whose voices have been heard echoing on the air waves. But more than that, they are the living personifications of glam!

The glam look has seen its heyday in the seventies, when disco fever was all the rage, and women partied nearly all the time dressed in metallic colors, sequins and huge diamonds. The glam lifestyle is full of style, extravagance and, as the name itself implies, glamour.

It has been a long, long while since the seventies, but it seems that the glam look is coming back with a blast. Jennifer Lopez is rarely spotted without her glittering bling, while Christina Aguilera seems to have made a complete 180-degree turn, scrubbing away her dirrrty look and donning instead retro glam outfits.

JLo and Christina represent only one side of glam ? the diva glam. But there is another side to the glam look, and that is the dressed-down glam. It is a look that is more casual, more comfortable and more understated, but still retains the elegance and sparkle of the diva glam. It is the kind of glam we often see on Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson. It is a look that the likes of us who do not have stars on the Hollywood walk of fame can easily pull off.

So, how do we do it? The key to getting the glam look is having the essential glam items in our wardrobe. Here are some of them:

Halter tops. Halter tops are sexy. They expose the shoulders and the back, letting the wearer show some skin without looking cheap and trashy.

The hip item of the season. It could be a hat or a pair of sunglasses. You can wear faded jeans and a really-beaten up T-shirt, but if you have that trendy item of the season on you, you would still look glam.

Heels. What is a glam look without heels? Whether it is a pair of sandals, boots or pumps, a glam look is not really glam without those heeled footwear. Be careful to practice the walk, though, because there is nothing glamorous about tripping and falling on your own feet.

Designer handbags. A glam wardrobe must have at least one designer bag in it. Be careful about the logos, though. Too much is trashy; it should only take one look to spot a signature designer bag. It is understandable that not all of us can afford a designer handbag, but hey ? if you can?t afford the genuine thing, then find a substitute.

Makeup. A bronzer, standout eyes and glossy lips. These are the essentials in glam makeup.

Jewelry. Being glam is all about standing out. And what else can help you achieve that ultimate glam look other than jewels? Whether it is plain glass or the real thing, jewelry has to be shiny and it has to catch the eye.

Getting the glam look is easy. It only takes the right stuff to pull it off. But always remember that you cannot be glam outside if you are not glam on the inside. Poise and confidence wins it.

My Fav Colour

September 26, 2008 by Olgita

No, it isn’t pink. Definitely.

Sorry?

Have I seen what?..

The site name?..

Oops… Still, it’s not pink!

On a dull wet autumn evening, it’s bright yellow and orange of candlelight or even a log-fire, if and when I can afford such extravagance.

After a hectic working day in an office room with walls of pale blue I like to rest my eyes on the delicate green of the lawn grass, amber columns of pine trunks touched by the sunlight, or the blossoming white of apple-trees… Yes, I do admit pink blossoms are beautiful, too!

I like the many colours the sea can acquire — from emerald green through light blue on a sunny day to the steel-gray of a coming storm. Oh, gray can be beautiful too — especially if this is the eye colour of someone very special.

But the most magnificent shades are the ones I can watch daily from the balcony facing west. It is the purple and crimson of a sunset, ending the busy day and ushering in a night of rest, of dreams, shrouding the common and everyday in mystery. And then comes the new dawn…

Ok, one of its colours is pink! :)

Smiles are special. In any culture, a smile shining on the lips of any shade and shape has something positive to say – from almost aggressive assurance to enigmatic thoughtfulness through a range of other sentiments.

Smile is related to laughter – but it is milder and softer, with a shade of quiet contentment. Even a sad smile has a placid tone about it – so, what shall I say about a smile that is not just a happy one but is capable to make me happy?

First and foremost, it is real. There are too many imitations, shiny but shallow, unable to reach the eyes and coming from anywhere but the heart. Such smiles can make amused at best, not happy. This one is different.

It is caused by something good. I mean, truly good. I am not a guilt-driven “morality rules fanatic”, and may God keep me from preaching here – but I can rarely share a sneer while looking at another person’s trouble… The smile I look for can be caused by a beautiful sunset, a scored goal, a delicious perfume, or – why not? – a reflection of someone else’s joy.

And finally – it is unique. When we love someone and see that person daily, happy we are if we can perceive and treasure every single smile flashing on their lips – no matter if we are the reason for it, or not.

I could go on for much longer and exhaust your patience with more descriptions. But it is around dawn time here, and I, being the lark in our couple, have a coffee to make and a beauty to wake. Good-bye, dear reader, and good morning darling!..

Even before her eyes open, I see a smile…

The smile.

You might be thinking of getting a drastically new look. Most times, this only entails a change in your everyday makeup, a new haircut, or a few touch-ups to your wardrobe. Whats really guaranteed to up your looks shock factor is getting a new hair color. If youve been a blondy all your life, turning brunette will turn heads. If youve never switched your brown hair color for any other shade, going a lot lighter will brighten up your appearance. But if you go with black hair, then that will definitely give you a whole new look.

Black hair can convey lots of different images. It could make you look like a total Goth girl or make you look like the perfect Oriental doll. Done right, it could make you look like a raven-haired goddess with long, cascading tresses.

Not everyone is cut out to sport black hair, though. Before you head to your stylist and declare your intentions to blacken your locks, go over these few guidelines first.

Having second thoughts about getting black hair? Get yourself accustomed to a darker hair color by getting a deep brown shade first. If it turns out gorgeous, let the color settle in for several months and give your hair time to relax before getting another treatment. Then you can launch your new look and go all out black.

Red Hot Look

September 25, 2008 by Mimi

By Anna Lynn C. Sibal

Many women shy away from wearing the color red because they believe that red is a color that is hard to pull off. Nothing screams the word “sexy” louder than wearing the color red, and some women just find it hard to deal with.

It takes attitude and supreme confidence to be able to wear the color red with flair. A woman who manages to do it with style is always seen to be as hot as the color she is wearing. And why not? Hot, she definitely is.

If you do not feel comfortable with wearing an all-red get-up, start with small touches until you get used to being clad in the color red. With even just a small touch, a spot of red is vibrant enough to give life to what would otherwise look as a drab outfit.

If you have to wear a conservative suit to, say, a business meeting or a client call, you can liven up your outfit by wearing a pair of high-heeled red pumps. This will work exceptionally well with a knee-length, pencil-cut skirt and will draw eyes to your shapely legs.

On days that you feel too lazy to put some effort into dressing, match your beat-up jeans and loose tee with a red wristwatch. That is instant style with zero effort. A red wristwatch also looks smashing on an all-black ensemble.

Going to a party and tired of wearing your little black dress? Opt for a smashing red dress instead. Wearing a red dress to a party will guarantee you at least a grand entrance.

Painting your nails red for a hot date is also a brilliant idea. You can say a lot of things with just your hands; why not make an exclamation point with your fingernails? Red-painted nails are very chic and very sexy, and few men can resist the allure of a woman wearing red.

Care for some red sleeping garments? Red sleepwear can be very pretty. Despite whatever notions you may have concerning red sleepwear, there are actually some items out there that come in styles that are simple enough to wear on ordinary nights. They are pretty comfortable too. Even if you are going to spend the night by your lonesome, you can at least enjoy the fact that you are wearing something nice to sleep. If you are spending the night with someone, wearing red sleepwear can be very fun and sassy, and can lead to some nocturnal adventures for you and your partner.

Fancy wearing something casual with just a touch of vibrancy? Wear a red top. Again, it is an example of instant style with zero effort.

A word of caution, though. Red is a powerful color and red can stand for itself. Bear in mind that too much of a good thing is bad, and too much red can overpower you. Wear red, but keep it nice and simple. The color itself is an accessory all its own.

Wondering how to find your dream career? You’re not alone.Surveys of U.S. households have found that fewer than half of Americans are even satisfied with their jobs, let alone are living out their dream career. In fact, up to 75 percent of workers are still searching for a job they love, according to the job search Web site Career Builder.

Perhaps you already know what your dream career is and are in the process of choosing whether or not to take the leap (if this applies to you, you may want to read 12 Signs it is REALLY Time to Leave Your Job). However, and more likely, a large part of the problem may be that you have yet to discover what your dream career should be.

Go ahead, close your eyes and picture it. What does your dream job look like?

Please don’t use this as an excuse to never reach the feeling of freedom and joy that can accompany finding your true dream career. Instead, check out these 11 tips to get started down the road to career happiness today.

Determining the Truly Right Career for YOU

1. Identify your skills, talents and hobbies.
Whether it is something you’ve learned to do, or something you’re uniquely talented at doing, your skills and talents should be a part of your dream job. Also, don’t overlook your hobbies, or things you love to do, as an important part of this list.

2. What are your values?
You must answer this question to accurately find your dream job. Do you value helping others over all else? Or do you value having time to spend with your family? How about money? Where does that fit in to your value system? Chances are that your values will encompass a number of different things. If you’re having trouble identifying which values are most important to you, you should rank them using a 5-point scale (0 = not important at all, 5 = most important).

3. Determine how much training you’re willing to put in.
Perhaps you’ve always dreamed of defending a client in a high-profile court trial, but know that law school is not for you. Or, you’d like to work with cars, but don’t have the technical training to do it. As you start to nail down the types of jobs you may like, you’ll need to know how much upfront and ongoing education/training they require — along with how much you’re willing to put in.

4. How much money do you want to make?
This should be partly answered for you already under “what are your values.” If part of your dream job is earning six-figures or more, make note of it. Likewise, if you’re content to just get by, as long as you’re doing what you love, keep this in mind too.

5. Location, location, location.
Realistically speaking, are you willing to leave your current location to take on your dream career? If you’ve always wanted to be a farmer, are you willing to sacrifice your love of chic urban eateries? Meanwhile, how far are you willing to commute (or do you want a job you can ride your bike too)? Travel is also something to think about: Does the thought of traveling for your career excite you, or would you rather stay close to home?

6. Workaholic or Family-Oriented?
Not that the two can’t go hand-in-hand with a little bit of tenacity, however most people find that they lean toward one or the other. Is work the most important thing to you, and you’re willing to put in 70-hour weeks? Or do want a flexible schedule that allows you more time to spend with the kids?

7. Determine Your Career Personality.
This free career test will help you determine what type of career you are best suited for based on your dominant character traits, your interests, and the way you approach work. Keep your career personality in mind as you compose your list of dream careers.

8. Compile Your Information.
You’ve thought about it in your head and have a vague idea of your values, skills, desires, etc. Now, write it all down. Peruse your list of what you’re looking for, and what you’re not … let it sink in.

What’s Your Career Personality?

Dream Career

Your dominant character traits, interests and way you approach work all make up your own unique career personality.

Just answer these 36 questions about yourself, and the results will provide you an overview of your key strengths and some careers that may be best suited to you.

Free Career Test: Find Out Your Career Personality Now!

9. Identify Your Dream Career.
Based on your dream, identify careers that you believe would make you truly happy. Search online, ask your family, friends and neighbors, and choose your dream job.

10. Get Your Dream Career.
You’ve already made it through the hardest part for many: identifying your dream job. Now you just have to find it. How? Keep your eyes and ears open for anything related to your dream job. Attend industry trade shows, read their magazines, network with anyone you can within the field, and hand your resume out unashamedly at job fairs. If your dream is to start your own business, this applies to you too. Make friends with other business owners and soak in all the advice they have to offer.

11. Stick With It!
Finally finding a career you love will be well worth the hours, days and months spent searching for it. If you find that certain hurdles are keeping you from moving out of your old job and into the new (i.e., debts to pay off, school to complete, family matters), devise a strategy to overcome each of them, one at a time. Remember, you are working toward a dream, and nothing should stop you from seeing that that dream comes true.
